Rocket Punch and World Introduce Human Verification Badges to Business Ecosystem
The business networking platform Rocket Punch announced on the 4th that it is pursuing collaboration with the global project World and integrating WorldID along with the operator partnership with OBF.
The core of this partnership is to address the issue of 'online trust' that has rapidly emerged in the AI era. With the widespread use of generative AI and automated bots, the demand for verifying whether the other party is a real person online has increased. Rocket Punch plans to introduce WorldID, which proves unique humanity through the human verification device 'OBF', into the business network, allowing users to confirm their uniqueness as humans while ensuring privacy. This significantly enhances the safety of business connections where trust is essential, such as recruitment, investment, and networking.
Accordingly, the Rocket Punch app will provide login and membership registration features based on WorldID. Users can link their existing accounts to WorldID and verify or disconnect their WorldID through the settings screen. Profiles of users who have completed OBF verification will display the WorldID Human Badge. By clicking on the badge, users can check the WorldID verification status and guidance. Other users on the platform can intuitively verify that the other party is a verified real person, not a bot or fake account, through this badge. Users who log in or register using WorldID can access additional features such as unlimited chatting and AI search, making it easier to communicate with others or get answers to career-related questions.
Rocket Punch does not view this integration merely as an addition of a login option. In contexts where trust is crucial, such as recruitment, partnerships, investments, events, and community activities, actual human verification can become a more significant product layer.
Offline verification collaboration is also being pursued. At the Narrative Lounge in Seongsu, users can create and verify their WorldID through the World OBF device, then link it to their Rocket Punch account to activate the Human Badge.
The two companies are also preparing event-based verification collaboration. This will support WorldID verification at various events held through Rocket Punch, regardless of location. The plan is to allow OBF verification experiences at conferences, networking meetings, community events, and pop-up events that Rocket Punch participates in, without relying solely on specific permanent spaces.
This approach is also meaningful for World. The moment users first experience verification often occurs at the OBF offline, and Rocket Punch events, where real people meet, provide a suitable environment for such verification. By connecting WorldID verification at these events, verification becomes a natural part of networking and event participation rather than a separate procedure.
Kim In-ki, CEO of Narrative and Rocket Punch, stated, "In an era where anyone can create accounts and content with AI, trust between people becomes more important. Rocket Punch will continue to add product layers that allow real people to connect and collaborate more safely as a business networking platform." He added, "Collaboration with WorldID could be the first case of connecting online profiles, offline events, and real networking experiences into one."
Park Sang-wook, head of Tools for Humanity's Korean branch, expressed, "I am pleased to support companies in connecting authentically based on trust through Rocket Punch, a platform that connects entrepreneurs, innovators, and businesses in Korea. This collaboration is part of World’s long-term vision to create a more trustworthy internet where anyone can easily prove they are real people without sacrificing personal information. As AI continues to advance, the ability to confirm that there is a real person behind every interaction will be essential for maintaining trust and authenticity online."
This collaboration includes WorldID integration and joint marketing. The two companies plan to announce their collaboration through various means, including guidance on WorldID features within Rocket Punch, joint content, newsletters, social channels, event pages, and press releases. In the future, they may also conduct builder programs, seminars, and mini-hackathons utilizing World API and Rocket Punch API, events, and network assets.
Through this partnership, Rocket Punch and World plan to demonstrate the role of a "trust layer that proves humanity" in business networking in the AI era. Rocket Punch users will express trust on their profiles and connect more safely with verified individuals at event sites. World can expand the actual use cases of WorldID in the Korean market.
