Prospects for Expanding Investment in Digital Assets Instead of AI Stocks
The investment returns from the growth of the artificial intelligence (AI) industry are expected to be greater in digital assets than in AI-related stocks. Jordi Visser, an investment expert from Morgan Stanley, analyzed that AI agents will expand the utilization of digital assets. He stated that without AI, the digital asset market would not be experiencing its current bull run. Visser pointed out that a portfolio consisting of 100 AI-related stocks has risen about 40% this year, but its recent volatility has increased beyond that of Bitcoin. He mentioned that massive funds are being injected into AI infrastructure investments, increasing the financial burden on companies. Visser is investing in various tokens in addition to Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana, and noted that an equally weighted index composed of 42 tokens and 4 listed stocks has recorded higher returns than Bitcoin. He mentioned Dogecoin as an indicator of individual investors' return to the market and stated that he is also investing in privacy-related digital assets. However, he warned that if the downturn in the AI industry leads to a decline in the overall stock market, digital assets could also face short-term shocks.
