Per Ansgar, CEO of Geely Sweden Holdings, has joined the board of the Concordium Foundation. The Concordium Foundation announced on the 9th that Ansgar has been appointed as a board member. Ansgar will lead Geely Sweden Holdings starting in November 2024 and has over 26 years of experience in the automotive and finance sectors. He stated that vehicles and software are becoming the parties to transactions, and trust is about proving the payment approver and the responsible entity. The collaboration between Geely Group and Concordium began in 2021, and in 2022, they established a blockchain joint innovation and application center. Concordium plans to launch an agent registry in May 2026, proposing a structure that registers the identities of AI agents on-chain and connects them with verified individuals or companies. As of July 14, 1,131 agents and over 15,663 on-chain transactions have been processed, with the announcement that the number of registered agents will exceed 1,600 after the May 2026 launch. However, a direct link between Ansgar's board appointment and the actual service launch has not been confirmed.
