Lisk Chain Closes on November 2, Transitioning to a Corporate Financial Platform
The Ethereum L2 network Lisk has announced that Lisk Chain has officially closed on November 2, 2026, marking its transition to a modern financial platform aimed at enterprises. LSK will continue to serve as Lisk's loyalty token, operating on Ethereum. The closure of Lisk Chain will be phased, with user services ceasing first, including Lisk Portal and Lisk Bridge. After the closure, approximately 5.2 million LSK remaining in the staking reward contract will be burned, including unallocated rewards and earned but unclaimed rewards, further reducing the total supply. The new Lisk will integrate accounts, payments, and approvals into a single workspace, supporting fiat and stablecoins, covering over 100 countries. The total supply of LSK is 300 million, with an inflation rate of 0%. Starting in 2027, enterprises will earn and use LSK on Lisk.
