Gathering of Users of OAM-Pay Phoenix Due to Delayed Withdrawals
Delays in the withdrawal of rial and cryptocurrency from OAM-Pay Phoenix have led to a gathering of users of this exchange in front of the judiciary. Images released from the gathering on October 5 show the protests of users, although the details of these images have not been confirmed. The protesters are demanding accountability from the exchange, clarification of the status of their assets, and resolution of their claims. The withdrawal issues began in the summer of 2026, and some users have reported that requests submitted in July and August have still not been settled. OAM-Pay Phoenix has introduced a user support fund to expedite settlements. Access to this fund will be gradual, and eligible users can receive their credits in their Blue Bank accounts after submitting a request. The exchange has stated that it will allocate part of its revenue to the fund and has warned about fake Telegram messages claiming that a fee is required to activate the fund or expedite payments. Additionally, the Iran Fintech Association has suspended the membership of the company owning OAM-Pay Phoenix since August 22. OAM-Pay Phoenix also announced on October 1 the formation of a legal committee to pursue claims. However, the timeline for users to receive their assets remains unclear.
