Franklin Templeton and Moody's Executives to Speak at KBW2026 in Seoul
Executives from global financial institutions such as Franklin Templeton, Northern Trust, Moody's, New York Life, and SBI Securities will participate as speakers at Korea Blockchain Week (KBW) 2026, which will be held in Seoul. According to FactBlock, the organizer of KBW2026, Chetan Karkhanis, Senior Vice President of Digital Asset Client Strategy at Franklin Templeton, Alvin Chia, Senior Vice President of Digital Asset Innovation for Asia-Pacific at Northern Trust, and Gene Fang, Executive Director at Moody's Ratings, have been confirmed as speakers. Karkhanis will address digital asset financial products and client strategies in the Asia-Pacific region, Chia will discuss the development of next-generation financial infrastructure, and Fang will focus on strategies for the Asian digital economy. Charles Jansen, Managing Director at S&P Global, will also participate as a speaker, along with Thomas Tsai from New York Life Investment Management and Ryo Kato from SBI Securities. The digital asset industry will see participation from John D'Agostino, Mike Belshe, Hong Kim, and Yuval Loo, who will speak on market infrastructure supporting on-chain transitions. This year marks the 9th edition of KBW, which will be held at the Walkerhill Hotel & Resort in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, under the name 'KBW2026 with Upbit'. An informal event for institutional investors will take place on the 29th, followed by the main conference from October 30 to October 1.
