Codex Suspends New $200 Pro Plan Subscriptions to Ensure Astra User Experience

OpenAI Codex product lead Tibo announced that to ensure the user experience and access stability for existing users of the AI assistant Astra, the team has decided to suspend the $200 monthly Pro subscription plan for new users. This tier places the highest demand on system resources due to high usage. All other plans and API services remain available for normal use, and existing accounts will not be affected. The team is working to increase capacity as quickly as possible.
